Truck Offroad

Truck Offroad”

WARN theft is a major concern for owners of a lot, especially if you park your equipment in the yard or exit the parking lot of a Wal-Mart hours. You have invested a lot of changes in his wheel. Now, how can you be sure of not getting scammed?

Here are 7 ways prevent theft winch.

  1. Buy a round padlock or safety lock bolt. Prevent access to the pins and can be removed with a special key. Just be sure not to lose the key, in case you need to remove your winch!
  2. Solder a caesarian section Channel on the bolt head to prevent access to the bolts.
  3. Weld a cap on one or more bolts. If you ever need to remove winch to repair or replace, to grind you up.
  4. Weld the bolts and nuts together. Some did and it worked very well, while others argue that extreme heat can weaken the pins. While, if not the best option is an option. Most manufacturers advise against bolts around the weld, because it could compromise the strength of the bolts.
  5. Make sure the winch with a cable and padlock. Although not not the safest option by far may be sufficient to deter the casual thief looking for a white easy. At least, it slows down the thief and give a better opportunity there.
  6. Use a deck winch. Sometimes the best way to keep your business from being scammed is to keep out of sight. Out of sight, away from the heart.
  7. Take the winch to remove and replace only when going on the ground. Sounds like work? That's what I thought. But it is an option. If you mount the winch with receiver hitch in place a permanent fixture around, it seems a little more realistic.
