Roller Timing

Roller Timing”

The jump is one of the easiest skateboarding tricks, however, one of the most important. Learn to do an ollie can be daunting for beginners skaters, but if you establish and follow a plan of action for two weeks, you're sure to learn how to Ollie in no time!

I recommend that the practice half an hour to an hour a day if you want to learn to Ollie as quickly as possible. I suggest you practice during the week and take pause or skate through the weekend.

Before you begin, you know the ollie looks. I suggest you see a little "how to ollie" videos online if you know how to look and the basic steps.

1-2 days

For the first two days, you'll want to practice the position feet down. Pie is the key to learning to Ollie!

Would you place your front foot slightly ahead of the board, and your back foot on the tail of the skateboard with the ball of your foot back in the middle of the tail. During the first two days, that practice, the position of the feet and make sure are comfortable.

Days 3-5

For the rest of the week, I recommend the practice of general movement of the ollie. One the most useful ways to learn to Ollie the trick is to visualize in your mind first.

Support on the board ollie position. See for yourself:

1. Popping the flapping tail hard on the back foot tail

2. Show jumping

3. Slide your front foot toward the front of the table and

4. Equalization engine and landing on the bolts skateboard

The key to learning to do an ollie is to be able to put these three things together.

After viewing the ollie, it's time to get on the table and try. Remember slam, jump, and slide.

Days 8-14

For the second week you should continue to practice their ollies. At this point, you should know exactly how to do an ollie, but probably difficult to get second place. If have a little trouble, follow these tips:

– Do not bend too far because it can throw your balance. Just give a slight squat.

– Empty legs after pop to assist the board in the air

– Stay focused on the plate like pop and purpose of the land on the bolts

The only way to overcome this is practice and persistence. You have to experiment with the time of the case until you find something that works for you. It took me over a month before I learned to ollie.

Congratulate yourself when you finally learn to Ollie. Now you can take to new places, such as curbs, ledges and outside on the obstacles!
Good luck to learn to Ollie!
