Rod Set

Rod Set”

I usually go camping on the Fourth of July and every holiday elsewhere. However, this past year has been different because I have a new family that includes a twelve year old boy and a girl aged six. My fishing experience on these camping trips has changed significantly. I still do some fishing for catfish, but I also spend much of my time in front of the property and to teach children to fish I like. For some time now I have learned a few things that make it much easier for me to enjoy children and still have a bit of real fishing

1 Choose your lures carefully. You do not want anything that is difficult to take the bait. Some baits are good for Berkley Gulp baitsand Berkley Power Bait. Take a few varieties of these nocturnal birds and chicken livers and shrimp. Chicken livers are for me.

2 children did not have much patience and can become boring very quickly if anything happens. What I do is get in a bar for bottom fishing. I'll get to throw him out, then put it on the bar holder. For them, this is usually set up and forget that a catfish takes the bait. I'm raising the bar in high seas fisheries. I put up with a great hook smaller, usually 6 #, and a Diablo. This virtually guarantees they will get bites and finally get something, even if it is a sunfish. Children are happy, they caught something.

3 Store a couple of these kids bluegill caught for use as cut bait after going to bed.

4 Get a pair of rod holders, Strike Lightnin '. These are spring loaded and automatically skip building the hook when a fish bites. Very useful when your hands are full of children before fixing.

5 Be patient! Take advantage of children and their first afternoon of actual fishing after going to bed. If this is not frustrated with them and enjoy their time with you. Believe me, they will never forget those moments. I still remember the time I spent with my father and who was forty years ago.
